The open island kitchen in granite with 5-ring ceramic cooktop, convection oven, microwave, dishwasher and side-by-side fridge/freezer even allows the preparation of extensive, multi-course dishes.

On the right side and somewhat separate from the entrance and the living room is the dining area. It opens to the kitchen and offers space for up to 7 people to enjoy dinner while watching the most beautiful sunsets. At the other end of the house is a cozy reading or breakfast nook with two comfortable armchairs. On the patio, there is a roofed dining/sitting area for 6 people. 2 sun loungers with soft cushions and a comfortable patio chair - table set invite you to relax and enjoy the Floridian sunshine. Due to the special panoramic design of the white cage without struts you have an undisturbed view of the lake and garden. A place where you can truly relax and unwind.

In the double garage, which can be accessed directly via the house and which offers space for another full-size vehicle, you will find 3 almost new bicycles for our guests as well as beach equipment such as folding chairs and sun umbrellas.

Neighbourhood

Rotonda West is a community in southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 96 mi south of Tampa and 53 mi north of Fort Myers. World-wide unique is the town's layout with a circular ring (the Circle) running around it. Seen from the air, the place looks like a huge wheel with spokes.

Villa Santorini is located on the western edge of the Circle in the quiet, affluent residential area of Rotonda Heights, with its low housing density and plenty of originality. In takes only minutes by car to reach the Gulf of Mexico and to get to the offshore, beautiful islands across the Intracoastal Waterway like
Manasota Key. All kinds of water sports are possible, the long white sandy beaches are very clean and spacious. You will find there restaurants and bars, often with live music as well as all kinds of shopping facilities ranging from small gift shops to shopping malls and supermarkets like WalMart or Publix.

Neighboring towns are Englewood in the west and Port Charlotte in the east. Via US41 (Tamiami Trail) you quickly reach the beautiful coastal town of Punta Gorda, which is also the Charlotte County seat. From there you can take a boat via Charlotte Harbor to other islands in the Gulf such as Cayo Costa, Don Pedro Island, or Useppa with beautiful sandy beaches. The famous islands of Captiva and Sanibel are also easily accessible by boat or by car via Fort Myers.

Transport

You definitely need a car as there is practically no public transportation in the area. Cabs are also rather rare. However, the ride service Uber is an alternative that works quite well. The road network and infrastructure are excellently developed. Cycling is becoming increasingly popular, with many roads having separate bike lanes. Boats can also be rented in many places. You don't need a boating license to do so.
